How We Charge – Transparent Fees & Commissions

Introduction:
At Competition Closet, we make listing and renting competition dresses simple, fair, and transparent. Here’s how our fee structure works for both dress owners and renters.


1. Listing Fees

First Dress: $20 per dress

Additional Dresses: $10 per dress
This fee covers the cost of hosting, marketing, and maintaining your listing on our platform.

2. Rental Transactions & Commission

When your dress is rented, we take a 20% commission from the rental price.

The remaining 80% goes directly to you, the dress owner.

Example: If a dress rents for $100, you receive $80 and we retain $20.

3. Payment Handling

Renters pay a deposit at the time of booking to secure the rental.

Full rental payment is collected securely through our platform.

Deposits protect dress owners and ensure commitment from renters.

4. Dress Returns & Cleaning

All dresses must be dry cleaned before returning to the owner.

Proper care ensures a smooth experience for all parties.

Failure to comply may result in additional fees or suspension of your listing.

5. Local Pickup & Drop-Off (Optional)

Renters and dress owners can arrange local pickup or drop-off directly for added convenience.

6. Transparency & Trust

We are committed to clear communication and no hidden fees. Everyone should know exactly how much they will pay or earn before completing a transaction.
